How to research a football bet
Here is how the tools fit into one research session, from an upcoming match to a priced bet.

Start with the match
Open the fixture page and the tactical lineup tab. Check the predicted or confirmed starters and note the referee. A player can only land a shot or a card if they start.

Check the trends
Open the trends for your market, like shots on target. Read the hit rate over the last 10 matches and the Confidence Score out of 100. A winger hitting 1+ shot on target in 9 of his last 10 games shows up near the top.

Verify the raw numbers
Open the player or team page to see the stat match by match, with minutes, position and opponent. That way a hot run is not hiding a set of easy games.

Compare the odds
The live odds sit on the player card with the best price marked. Player Props Edges flags any prop where one bookie is priced well away from the rest.

Widen or narrow the net

Key terms
The words that show up on the tools, in plain English.
- Hit rate
- The share of recent matches where a player cleared a given threshold, like 1+ shot on target.
- Confidence Score
- A 0 to 100 score on each player trend that weighs recent form, threshold comfort and matchup difficulty.
- Edge
- The gap between one bookie's odds and the average across the other bookies on the same prop. A +8% edge means one book is 8% higher than the rest.
- Form rate
- A 0.00 to 5.00 score for how strongly a team is hitting Win, Over 2.5 or both teams to score in its last 5, 10 or 15 matches.
- Line
- The number a bookie sets on a prop, like 0.5, 1.5 or 2.5 shots on target.
- BTTS
- Both teams to score.
