Football statistics FAQ

What football statistics does FootyMetrics cover?

Goals, BTTS, corners, cards, shots on target, results and half-time stats for every team across 115+ leagues, plus season stats for players. Each statistic is shown as a hit rate, an average, and with the next fixture's odds attached, refreshed daily as new matches finish.

What is a hit rate in football betting?

A hit rate is the percentage of a team's matches where a specific condition was met. A team with a 70% over 2.5 goals hit rate had three or more goals in 70 of every 100 matches this season. Hit rates use the team's domestic league fixtures unless stated otherwise.

How often are the football stats updated?

Hit rates and averages refresh after every match. Match data and odds typically update within minutes of a fixture finishing or a price moving. Some pages cache for up to a few minutes for performance, but no figure on the site is more than a few minutes stale.

Which football leagues are covered?

115+ domestic leagues including the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Eredivisie, Champions League, Europa League, MLS, Brazilian Serie A, J1 League and many more. The full list is on the leagues page. New leagues are added based on user demand.

Are the football stats free to use?

Yes. Team hit rates, averages, and player season stats are free across every covered league. Premium unlocks the trends tool: deeper filters, longer rolling windows, advanced trend detection and full odds comparison across more bookmakers.

How are the football stats different from FBref or Sofascore?

FootyMetrics is built specifically for betting research. Each stat is shown as a hit rate against a betting line with the live odds attached, on a single screen. FBref and Sofascore have deeper historical and event data; FootyMetrics is faster for the question of whether a specific market is worth backing on a specific fixture.
